Dr. Duan is interested in the development and application of computational methods to study the structure and dynamics of bio-molecular systems. The Duan Group focuses on understanding protein folding and aggregation, protein structure prediction, simulation method development, structure and dynamics of G-protein coupled receptors, DNA-protein interactions and computer-aided drug design. This work enhances understanding of various human diseases, including cystic fibrosis and Alzheimer’s and is considered a key step toward functional interpretation of genetic sequences in the post-genomic era.
