Bio
Dr. Stavisky is a neuroscientist and neuroengineer who co-directs the UC Davis Neuroprosthetics Lab. This lab develops brain-computer interfaces to restore speech and movement to people with paralysis (e.g., due to spinal-cord injury, stroke, or ALS). Dr. Stavisky also uses these pilot clinical trials to better understand the fundamental neurobiology of the human abilities that he is trying to restore.
