Dr Godinez is interested in expanding the use of MRI to application where safety has been the prohibitive concern. This includes the development of interventional MRI protocols, MRI instrumentation, image reconstruction techniques and image processing. His broader interests include the development of enabling technology to explore molecular imaging with MRI alone or combined imaging with PET. His research is dedicated to addressing present needs in treating disease in the brain and the heart.
