Bio

Our lab focuses on developing novel imaging and microscopy techniques to be applied for rapid and enhanced diagnosis through pathology.  Currently we are testing and deploying a novel microscopy approach, DUET (Dual Emission and Transmission), to reveal the distribution and abundance of fibrillar collagens and basement membrane from conventionally H&E stained kidney biopsies. Moreover, methods for large-scale digital imaging of human breast tissue for intra-operative surgery guidance is also being developed.

The collaborative group involved in these projects contribute creative expertise in optics, biomedical engineering, pathology, renal transplantation, breast surgery and logistics, novel data science concepts and artificial intelligence. The developed technologies hold a great potential for clinical translation and commercialization.

Accepting students per funding availability.
